This weekend is more than a hike in the fells — it’s a chance to step back, strip things down, and explore what really matters. On the slopes of Blencathra, the outward challenge of the mountain runs alongside the inward work of reflection. Each step on the ridge becomes a way to look at your own story - what to release from the past, how to act with clarity in the present, and how to shape a future that feels true. Together we’ll move, breathe, journal, and share by the fire — finding strength in the landscape, in each other, and in the wild within.
This retreat isn’t about luxury, it’s about returning to what matters. Mornings begin with the light on the fells and time to move, stretch, and breathe. Days are shaped by steady climbs, the rhythm of boots on stone, and space to pause along the way. Between time outdoors, you’ll explore practical tools for reflection, journaling, breathwork, mapping your next steps, and open space for honest conversation. Meals are simple, nourishing, and shared around the table, where stories and laughter flow easily. By the close of the weekend, you’ll have walked far through the hills, seen yourself with greater clarity, and felt the strength that comes from living simply and in good company.

We are three people with different stories, but one shared purpose. Each of us has faced our own struggles, times when life pressed hard, when the mind felt heavy, when we had to dig deep to keep moving forward. Those challenges shaped us, not by breaking us down, but by forcing us to get to know ourselves more honestly. Out of that raw work came strength, clarity, and a sense of direction that is carried into this retreat.

- BEE -

Bethany (Bee) is a true mountain ninja with both Mountain Leader (ML) and Winter ML qualifications — serious kudos in the mountain world.
Bee has lived among some of the world’s great ranges — from the Scottish Highlands to the Japanese Alps — building a deep connection to wild places along the way.
Her passion isn’t only about climbing mountains: it’s about helping people trust themselves in challenging environments. Whether navigating steep terrain, facing tough weather, or exploring new landscapes, Bee’s leadership is rooted in safety, confidence, and inspiration.
She brings the skills, calm, and grit needed to make every journey into the fells both safe and transformative.
What unites us is the belief that the mountains, and the practices of reflection that go with them, can open the same doorway for you. This weekend is not just about hiking or sitting by the fire. It’s about stepping into an environment that strips away distraction, facing yourself with honesty, and discovering that the very struggles you’ve carried can become the foundations of purpose.
“This is not luxury, it’s something better. It’s a space that holds us together, gives us shelter, and lets the mountains remain the star of the show.”

At the foot of Blencathra, the mountains rise like guardians above the lodge. Step outside and you’re already in the wild — ridgelines beckon, valleys fall silent, and the air feels sharper, cleaner, alive. This is not just a place to stay, but a threshold: between the everyday and the elemental, between comfort inside and challenge just beyond the door.

The outward movement we take together, walking trails, climbing ridges, gathering around the fire, is seamlessly aligned with the inward movements that shape our lives. Over the course of the weekend, we use the mountain as a mirror for the inner path, exploring how our story unfolds across time.
